Entombed - Left Hand Path
I am originally from Switzerland and one thing I quickly noticed after moving to America is that Switzerland gets mixed up with Sweden very often. Could be worse. Sweden is an amazing country, especially musically. Of course, there are Abba, Roxette or Europe, but there’s also a whole legion of bands a tiny bit heavier that started making a big impact in the international metal community in the 90’s and have continued to do so ever since. To many Entombed’s “Left Hand Path” is ground zero of Swedish death metal. It took the scene by storm with its unique guitar sound and riffing style that would end up getting copied countless times. Even as metal has explored new extremes over the last three decades, this is still an intense experience, a showcase of creative riffing and youthful force.
