Curtis Harding - If Words Were Flowers

Curtis Harding - If Words Were Flowers

As a kid, Curtis Harding travelled around the country from church to church with his mother who was a gospel singer. He had his first performances harmonizing with her. Clearly, he had no chance but to become musical. Eventually settling in Atlanta, he was active in the thriving local Hip Hop scene and even has ties to metal, punk or garage rock artists such as Mastodon and the Black Lips. His musical curiosity shows on If Words Were Flowers. At the core, this is a soul album, but Curtis borrows from many different genres creating a unique sound that is warm, smooth and simply beautiful. Its a refreshingly positive album, one that is full of hope.
