I love it when bands are ready for arenas even when they still play small clubs. You gotta have dreams. White Reaper had the balls to call their second album “The World’s Best American Band”. No lack of self confidence. This album exemplifies the spirit of rock when it was big and fun and loud and bombastic. It’s a celebration of riffs, guitar solos and - especially - hooks. Those hooks are absolutely glorious and they would sound even more amazing where they really belong: in arenas, shouted along by a delirious crowd. This is one of the most enjoyable rock records of recent years. Play it loud.
