What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than listening to Christmas records, but at some point even I have had enough Mariah Carey (it does take a while to get to that point though). This album is the perfect alternative to those old Holiday classics you’ve heard a million times: “Merry Christmas To You from Joseph”. Christmas music doesn’t get any more soulful and funky than this. I can’t believe “Jesus’ Birthday” or “Shopping” aren’t bona fide Christmas classics. Yet. That needs to change.
