Ten years ago when Oasis and Blur ruled the charts there came an unknown band who took the decidedly risky commercial gamble of turning their backs on the successful Britpop bandwagon and wound up winning Britain's most prestigious music award, the Mercury Prize. And they did it with a debut album immersed in rustic Americana, recorded on just a four-track demo machine in a rehearsal woodshed. BRING IT ON is filled with in richly textured lost highway road songs and dusty dues payin blues. It's a sonic crossroads where rock, blues, folk, and psychedelia kaleidoscopically converge. Now this modern classic has been expanded to include an extra disc of 16 bonus tracks featuring all the songs recorded during the album sessions as well as two highly sought after BBC sessions, one of which was even voted "Session of the Year" by NME readers.
